Rehab and Training Center: Omni Rehab

A new rehabilitation center is coming to Harlingen, Texas in September 2022. Omni Rehab and Human Performance Center is a rehabilitation and training center that offers physical therapy, sports medicine, and sports performance training.

Physical and Occupational Therapy

Omni rehabilitation and therapy services are available to treat patients with a wide range of conditions affecting range of motion, muscle strength/endurance, vision, balance/coordination, speech, pain levels, and overall functional independence. They offer a comprehensive team approach to outpatient therapy services in which they collaborate with each patient and his or her referring physician to provide personalized and effective treatment plans.


Omni Rehab specialists commonly treat these conditions:

Sports Medicine

The Sports Medicine program provides services for all levels of athletes (high school, collegiate, and professional) to assist in physical optimization towards their sport. The most common sports they work with include football, baseball, softball, volleyball, golf, tennis, and track and field. Their facility includes indoor turf, diagnostics lab, weight room, recovery suite, classroom space, and much more.


Their comprehensive process includes education, assessment, rehabilitation, treatment, and prevention. Omni Rehab is dedicated to helping all athletes overcome injury and achieve their highest level of health and performance.

Sports Performance Training

The Sports Performance program will optimize athletic potential with assistance through various technologies that will provide accurate, objective, and individualized analytics. The program will also safely condition athletes to reduce the occurrence of sports-related injuries. Under professional supervision, athletes will participate in training programs specifically designed to meet the demands not only of their sport but their specific position. Their effective training programs will increase strength, power, endurance, coordination, reaction time, agility, and overall body awareness.


Omni Rehab uses the latest technologies to optimize movement, recovery, and performance.


Professional Staff

Phillip J. Parker, OTR, serves as the CEO/Clinical Director of Omni Rehab, with experience in various healthcare sectors, biomedical engineering, and clinical research. His specialties include upper-extremity orthopedics and neurorehabilitation. Through a vast network in healthcare and academia, he stays current with the latest research, technology, and interventions.

With nearly a decade of experience as a biomedical technician (BMET), Armando Ortiz Jr. will serve as the Chief Technology Officer. Armando has worked with industry leaders and holds vast experience regarding medical instrumentation.

In the coming months, they will be hiring for the following positions: Occupational Therapist/COTA, Physical Therapist/PTA, Rehabilitation Technician, Strength & Conditioning specialist, and administrative assistant.
