I recently replaced the tiles in my swimming pool. The tiles hadn't been replaced since the pool was built in the 1980s. The new tile is iridescent and has blue, pink, and purple hues in the sunlight. I gave some of the leftover new tile to my friend Krista of Mighty Mosaics. I thought she could use it for her projects, but never expected her to use them to make something for me. She surprised me with this beautiful flowerpot as a birthday gift. It is stunning!
She has made several mosaics for my home, including the kiskadee outdoor side table and Texas Longhorn pavers. Krista is a self-taught mosaic artist who started her home business in 2020. She gets better and better with each piece! She is available for one-of-a-kind commissions, and plans on selling premade items at local markets this summer.
