Gourmet Market and Restaurant

Harlingen's newest restaurant, Dos Olivos Market Harlingen, which doubles as a gourmet market, opens on Friday, April 22, 2022. They currently have locations in Buda and Wimberley. The Harlingen location is the chain's third location. A fourth location in Dripping Springs will open in mid-May. You place your order at the counter and then seat yourself. The servings are large “family style” so you are encouraged to order a few items to share. They serve a variety of wines and craft beer, as well as sparkling water, tea, and soft drinks. The food menu is unlike most restaurants in the Harlingen area. Appetizers include pimento cheese, barbacoa doughnuts, foie gras tartine, and jamon croquettes. Family-style entrees include ribeye steak, sticky chipotle salmon, pork schnitzel, and seared butternut squash. Extras include haricot verts, truffle mac n' cheese, and TX foraged mushrooms. Menu standouts from the soft opening include the chicken thighs, chicken kaarage, and Caesar salad (pictured below). Each plate easily feeds 2-3 people. The gourmet market at the entrance includes olives, olive oil, spices, salsas, mustard/mayo, sauces, pickled items, dips, cocktail mixes, bread, jams/jellies, sweets, and more.
